Cheshire Cat Tails at Magic Kingdom

This morning we decided it was time to try the Cheshire Cat Tails from the Cheshire Cafe in the Magic Kingdom. We’ve seen the Cat Tails around and thought they had the makings of a special Disney treat.

With that in mind, we loaded up some Fastpasses and headed out to the Magic Kingdom.

We were greeted in Tomorrowland by Edna Mode.

It wasn’t very busy this morning. It’s always nice when we don’t have to fight the crowds to get everywhere. The standby for Space Mountain was 25 mins, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin was only 15 mins.

The Cheshire Cafe is located next to The Mad Tea Party attraction in Fantasyland, across from Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. It’s open between 8am and 3pm. We know this because we’ve been there during the evening three times this past week and were disappointed we couldn’t try them. But after this morning we all agree that they make a delicious breakfast, especially with coffee.

The Cheshire Cafe used to be known as Enchanted Grove up until around November of 2011. Personally, I think it now fits better with The Mad Tea Party theme. They’ve been selling the Cheshire Cat Tails for over a year now. Disney seems to have streamlined the menu a bit more with just the Tails, and some drinks, including the Cold Brew Coffee.

The Cheshire Cat Tails are basically chocolate croissants with pink and purple icing drizzled on top. You would think they’d be super sweet, but they had a nice balance to them. They’re on the list of favorites now.

Edit: Cheshire Tails are now $5.49 plus tax.

Cosmic Ray’s outdoor seating is quiet in the mornings and outside they have the fans going which makes for a great place to relax and enjoy the delicious snack.
