AMC Movies at Disney Springs 24

Believe it or not, AMC Movies at Disney Springs 24 is our local movie theater, so that is where we go when we want to see one of the latest blockbusters.  You would think it would start to feel common and lose the Disney Magic, but for us it makes movie going even more enjoyable.

This weekend we were there to watch Incredibles 2, which turned out to be fantastic, action-packed, and very clever.  It proved to be a worthy sequel.  The kids really enjoyed it, even if the picture shows otherwise.  They were in the middle of a popcorn disagreement when I took it. Thankfully the argument was easily settled when we reminded them that the refills were unlimited.  We take movie popcorn very serious.

The Incredibles 2 was being shown on the regular side of the theater and not on the Fork & Screen Dine-In side, which has a separate entrance further down and across from the Coca-Cola Store. Even without the dine-in feature, there are still many delicious offerings from The Marketplace Concessions Stand like pizza, chicken tenders, specialty coffee drinks, smoothies and much more.  There’s also usual offerings of popcorn and candy.

You just choose whatever items you would like and take them to one of the registers for fast and convenient purchases.  They also have Coca-Cola Freestyle which gives you up to 100+ drink options to choose from.  MacGuffins Bar and Lounge is another service that offers a full food menu and alcoholic beverages.  There are actually two MacGuffins, one on the dine-in side, and one on the regular side.

(In past years you could try Coca-Cola Freestyle for free at the Chase Lounge located in the American Pavillion if you had a Disney Chase Visa.  However, they didn’t open in 2017 and as of yet, there’s still no word on the status for 2018.  Hopefully, they do, as it was a great place to rest and rejuvenate before tackling the second half of the showcase.)

AMC Movies at Disney have recently upgraded one of their auditoriums to Enhanced Theater Experience.  I personally haven’t watched a movie in that theater, but Disney boasts “a 20% larger, floor-to-ceiling screen, 3D technology, 12 channel audio, and digital projection that delivers higher resolution than HD.”  In all the theatres I have been in, the seats are very comfortable and everything is clean.  The service at dine-in theatres have been good, and being able to book seats in advance is convenient.

While the theater itself is probably on par with other AMC locations, having it situated in Disney Springs does make for a bit more magical.  If you do decide to check it out, park in the Orange Garage for quick access.
