Sugar Rush Jumbo Cupcake
New for the Christmas Holiday season and coinciding with the release of the movie Wreck-It Ralph Breaks the Internet, the Sugar Rush Jumbo Cupcake has made its debut.
This cupcake sure does live up to its descriptive name of Jumbo! It’s huge! And delicious! The cake is half vanilla, half deep-red velvet and piled high with a peppermint frosting.

Ralph’s head is made of either a white chocolate or a fondant-like candy. That is still up for debate between my little food critics, but what they do agree on is that it is tasty. His hands are made of rice crispy treats covered in white chocolate candy (I’m pretty sure the same as his head) and I happened to find them just as good as the cupcake itself. I noticed we were missing our candy canes that were shown in the picture on the sign. This is not the first time where the cupcake we’ve bought doesn’t match what is advertised. There was some candy cane “dust” sprinkled on it instead. This didn’t really bother me, but keep that in mind if you’re a big candy cane fan.

The cake is fluffy but dense enough to hold up under the copious amounts of frosting which had just the perfect amount of peppermint to it. There’s nothing worse than a Christmas cupcake that leaves you feeling like you’re drowning in a vat of candy canes.

The Sugar Rush Jumbo Cupcake costs $6.99 plus tax, but it also qualifies for a Disney Food Plan snack credit, which I think is a great deal! If you are planning a trip during this Christmas Season and have the Disney Food Plan, make sure to save at least one snack credit. You don’t even have to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas to try one!
