School Bread from the Norway Pavilion in Epcot

Love it or hate it, School Bread is one of Disney’s iconic snacks. My family just happens to love the sweet rolls filled with vanilla crème custard and topped with toasted coconut.

The hint of cardamon, in the roll, lends to a gentle, spicy flavor that gives contrast to the sweetness of the treat. The inside of the roll is stuffed full of the delicious vanilla crème custard making every bite perfect. The School Bread is quite large and great for sharing, that is if you can bear it, or you may just want to keep this yummy treat all to yourself.

School bread, or Skolebrød if you live in the eastern or northern parts of Norway, came about around the 1950’s when children would get these delectable treats added to their lunch boxes, hence the name.

If you are looking to try School Bread it can be found at the Norway Pavilion in the Epcot Showcase at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, for $3.75.

***At the moment Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is under renovations so you can find the School Bread in the Kiosk across from the Norway Pavilion.***
