It has been 2 months since my last post. I never intended to take a break but I needed one.
The long, long winter had taken it’s toll on me and I just didn’t feel like doing anything for a while. Since then the weather has warmed and brighten and so has my mood.
During the past two months we managed to keep ourselves extremely busy in the Honestly household with lots of activities and even a new furry little friend.
There’s been a lot of talk about getting a puppy recently, something I’ve tried to avoid until the Milk Monkey was out of diapers. Then I met I Jack. He won me over instantly with his sweet little personality and his warm, cuddly ways.
He’s been a wonderful addition to our family.
The Princess has finally started gymnastics!
She’s wanted to join for a while now but for some reason or another we just didn’t sign her up. We tried to get information from one of the gyms around here but we could never get through to them and they never returned our calls or emails. In the meantime a new gym opened and just recently we stopped by to check it out. As it turns out they have a home school class. We signed the princess up, even though she was the only one in the class in hopes that other home schooled children would show.
Last week there were two other girls and the Princess had so much fun. Even more exciting is that because of this gymnastics class we have finally found a home school group that we want to join! I’ve come to realize over the years that what some people might call procrastination is actually just me listening to that still small voice. Too often, I’ve waited to fully pursue something, only to wake up one day and aggressively search out that very same thing. In turn, leading to open doors of opportunities that I could never have arranged on my own. This was definitely one of those times and I am grateful for it.
In my last post I had just started a quilt for my dear Nanny. I managed to finish it in time and give it to her at Easter. Here’s a peak for now…
I will post more on this another time.
I’m so glad spring is here and the camping season is about to begin. I’m thankful for the sun, and the fresh cool air. I’m looking forward to all the summer adventures that are in our future!!
